Nature, mother earth, the wild, call it what you like, but it's so always described in opposition to us. As though we're separate. Funny...

Folks love to philosophize and make their opinions known as much as everyone else, but language defines us and our ideas. Always.

It may be bold of me to suggest... but look around you. They say we have a crisis of being disconnected from nature. The way we see it hurts.

So, maybe it's that simple. If we saw ourselves as of and from nature. Maybe that's how we find our way home?

I acknowledge the folks whose lands I owe my existence to: the Koori people. The traditional owners, storytellers, and first peoples. This land's been tended and lived alongside for millennia with knowledge passed down through generations. What a legacy. May it prevail.
