Banana Bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 160C.
  2. Grease a baking tin.
  3. Mash bananas in a bowl.
  4. Add butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, egg, vanilla extract.
  5. Using a wire whisk, stir until combined.
  6. Fold in combined sifted flours and cinnamon.
  7. Stir in milk until combined.
  8. Spoon mixture into pan and smooth the surface.
  9. Bake for 1 hour or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Leave in tin for 30 minutes.
  11. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

Spiced Biscuits

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Grease 2 oven trays.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and maple syrup.
  4. Stir over a low heat until melted and combined.
  5. Transfer to a large bowl.
  6. Beat mixture until light and fluffy. Allow to cool.
  7. Sift flour and spices together. Fold into butter mixture until well combined.
  8. Roll tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls.
  9. Arrange on trays, allowing a little space between each.
  10. Flatten slightly with a fork. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden.
  11. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
