  • Eschatology: the theology concerning death, the afterlife, destiny, judgement, and the soul.
  • Fug: a warm, stuffy/smoky atmosphere in a room.
  • Heterodox: outside the usual standards or beliefs.
  • Insularity: a lack of interest in other cultures.
  • MIDI: (musical instrument digital interface) a standard for connecting and using electronic instruments.
  • Parochialism: narrow-minded or limited outlook.
  • Perspicacity: ready insight and shrewdness.
  • Portentous: of momentous significance.
  • Noosphere: a stage of evolutionary development concerning consciousness, the mind, and relationships.
  • Phylogenetic: related to the evolutionary development of organisms.
  • Rend: tear something to pieces
  • Rent: a large tear in fabric.
  • Splenetic: spiteful and bad-tempered.
  • Solipsism: the belief all that can be known to exist is the self.
  • Terminus: the last stop of a rail/bus route.
